Student Presentations
Whether through direct experience or through introduction by friends young people will encounter; bullying, smoking, binge-drinking, drug taking, sexual promiscuity and other unwholesome behaviours which may lead to low educational achievement, addiction, low self-esteem, eating disorders, depression and self-harming to name but some.
To resist the temptation of these challenges and make healthy lifestyle choices concerning emotional, social and physical aspects of their lives students need to be equipped with the knowledge, skills and values to deal with this range of issues which they will encounter whilst growing up and reaching adulthood.
Evidence suggests that early intervention by specific targeted education in schools has a vital role to play by influencing a positive attitude and healthy choices.
The aim of these presentations is to provide students with information and a knowledge base to adopt and develop wholesome behaviour and a healthy and considerate lifestyle.
